Revitalization

Computer seem sluggish and not what it once was? Want to thwart it from getting that way? I can probably help, perhaps dramatically. Not noticing problems yet? Consider this a preventative checkup.

This includes purging temporary files, disabling unwanted background programs from running automatically, checking settings and adjusting as needed, looking for overt signs malware might be present or other problems might have left signs of developing, running scan and defragment utilities, pursuing other disk space cleanup and organization options, depending on your needs and desires, and whatever added value assistance reasonably fits. That last item might include giving quick lessons or pointers, looking at minor problems or concerns, or answering basic questions you may have. I’d like to leave you better off, not merely with a computer environment tuned up to the extent possible in up to a total of two hours.

Fumigation

Are you sure you have a malware infestation, but aren’t sure what to do about it, or don’t want to tackle it yourself? I’ll check for and purge malware with software tools and manually as needed, up to a total of two hours. It can’t always be avoided, but while I’m at it, I’ll give you whatever tips might be useful to limit your exposure.

Put me on your side, giving you guidance, helping you figure out problems, humanizing the technobabble, building your range and confidence, and backing up your own growing expertise.

This is support and digital coaching via e-mail, AIM, and phone as appropriate. It does not incorporate any on-site element, and therefore is available to anyone, anywhere I can legally offer it, and subject to practical constraints and limitations. Depending on demand, available tools, and practicality, I may be able to incorporate remote control of your computer in the future.
